Cycle 3

Short description

In this activity, the pupils will discover in a playful way the natural cycle of leaves in the forest. The natural cycle will be compared to the cycle of our waste products. The pupils will realise that there is no waste in nature and that our recycling cycles can be modelled on nature. Finally, proper waste sorting will be discussed.

Objectives

The pupils:

  • understand that recycling contributes to the preservation of natural resources.
  • understand how they can contribute to the recycling cycle by sorting waste properly.
  • realise that new material can be produced from used material.
