Target group
Managers and employees of companies in the public sector who encounter hazardous substances.

Training content

The training provides basic knowledge on the properties of hazardous substances, the importance of hazard pictograms (CLP) and the handling of safety data sheets (REACH). In addition, the participants learn about the safe storage, disposal and avoidance of hazardous products and are then able to correctly assess product risks and link them to suitable storage measures. This course is suitable for people with basic knowledge of chemistry or the handling of hazardous substances.

Certificates and Evaluation

At the end of the training, the partner educational institution will issue a certificate of attendance.

Training focus

After the training, participants will be able to:

  • acquire and apply basic knowledge of the properties of dangerous products,
  • identify and distinguish between various hazardous substances (e.g. acids, bases, and oxidising agents),
  • identify hazard pictograms and understand their meaning,
  • obtain basic information from safety data sheets,
  • separate products according to their risk characteristics and store them correctly,
  • get to know different safety cabinets and their areas of application,
  • implement measures to reduce risks through the proper storage of hazardous products.
