Training content
The compact two-hour training course covers six coordinated topics in operational waste and resource management. Participants will receive a practical overview of the context of national waste and resource management, the relevant legal provisions for companies, the actors in national waste management and their disposal options, operational waste and resource management including the SDK quality label, waste separation and avoidance, as well as the collection and storage of hazardous (end-of-life) products. Each module presents the key content in a concise format and includes time to address participants’ questions.
Target group
Teachers and those responsible for vocational school classes in the crafts sector
Training focus
After the training, participants will be able to:
- research relevant content in a targeted manner by means of thematic source overviews,
- expand their knowledge of ecological and economic impacts, current waste legislation in Luxembourg and the safe handling of diverse types of waste in craft businesses,
- prepare teaching units on the topic of sustainable operational waste and resource management in a targeted manner,
- convey the basics of national and sustainable waste and resource management in the company in an understandable way according to the “train-the-trainer” principle,
- sensitize trainees to the connection between the environment, sustainable action, and operational profitability and to answer questions competently.
Certificates and Evaluation
At the end of the training, the partner educational institution will issue a certificate of attendance.
