Target group
Employees from a company, an administration or others who are trained in a group of at least five people and are affiliated with the SDK.

Training content

The training provides participants with comprehensive information on resource use and waste management. It covers the global context of resource consumption, provides an introduction to European and national legislation to promote the circular economy and waste management, and explains the actors and processes of waste management in Luxembourg. A special focus is on the SDK, its functional principle, its label, and the company analysis. Finally, the basics of correct waste separation, the impacts of incorrect sorting and national waste prevention measures are covered.

Training focus

After the training, participants will be able to:

  • explain the global context of resource consumption,
  • explain the key features of European and national legislation on resource conservation and waste management,
  • identify the actors and processes of waste and resource management in Luxembourg,
  • describe the role, functioning, history, and label of the SDK,
  • apply the basics of proper waste separation and recognize the consequences of incorrect separation,
  • list and explain waste prevention measures at national level.

Certificates and Evaluation

At the end of the training, the partner educational institution will issue a certificate of attendance.
